Last night was an incredible night for Factory Girls and we want to thank everyone who came out to support us. Modern Atlanta was so gracious in allowing us to be a part of their event and we were so lucky MOCA GA let us use their beautiful museum to show the fall collections of Megan Huntz and Abbey Glass.
We started the night with an exhibit at Showroom Ampersand showing the process of making a garment carefully curated by all of the Factory Girls. We showed the tools as well as some of the techniques that we use to make the amazing things we've been posting on our Instagram and Twitter feed. We ended the exhibit with a diagram of a fake label that explained why buying local ethically made garments is important. If you missed it, you can still come by to check it out this Wednesday.
We also showed the fall 2014 collections of Abbey Glass and Megan Huntz which were both incredible. All the work that they put in really showed last night as models came down the runway in look after look that showed the craftsmanship that can be achieved in Atlanta. Backstage the hair team from Paul Mitchell and the makeup artists from Stila, worked their magic on the models to make sure their beauty looks were on point.
The night left us feeling that Atlanta is more than ready to hear our message. Thanks to everyone involved in making last night possible and thanks to Atlanta for showing us love.
